Replacing the Vice among the evils, the Passion is here to take in the sense of devouring passion, of those that consume you gradually, the more we give it and the less its effects are felt so we sink even deeper into excess.

Taking the appearance of a pulpy woman, the chains and her blindfolded eyes seem to be there to hold her, to contain her, so as not to let her invade us but can also give her a provocative appearance of dominator.

The use of the pencil is used here to represent the fact, that when we abuse good things we feel less and less pleasure and little by little the practice seems to us bland and we must then go further and ever further if we want to hope to feel something.
